First of all, what are hunting blind? Hunting blind are shelters which are camouflaged so they blend into their surrounds, and are like small huts where hunters can wait for their prey without being seen.
They give hunters the opportunity to move inside them without their movements being monitored by the animals or birds outside. They also provide the hunter some protection from poor weather conditions!
There are many different styles of hunting blind available, both temporary and permanent. If you are hunting on public land, then you in all probability will not be permitted to build a permanent blind, so a temporary blind does the trick, and then can be removed at the end of the day.
Hunting blind are made from any number of different materials, both natural and man made. The blinds can be made of tall grass, native to the area you are hunting in, or they can be temporary bought blinds, which are made to blend in with the outdoors. For duck hunters who use boats, there are hunting blinds which are built to hide the boat, or blinds can hide cars, or other vehicles.
All of the blinds have one thing in common, they hide the hunter from wild animals or birds. The blinds have small openings in their sides, like windows, so the hunter can look out to see what animals are around, and of course, when they get a good sighting, they can shoot, but in the meantime, any movements they make are hidden from the animals or birds.
Of course, permanent hunting blind can be made comfortable over time, but they do have one big disadvantage. If the animals being watched change their positions, the blind cannot be adjusted to take account of this. Once it is built it is fixed there. The temporary blinds of course can easily be moved, although obviously you don’t want to be alerting the prey by continually moving it!
